Free Friendfeed Automatic Tweeting Machine
Automatic Tweeting Machine
Imagine a little known site that will take your posts and activity from 58 different social media sites and feed them to twitter. Friendfeed is such a site and it is free. It includes all the major social media websites and services like any blog, blogger, delicious, stumbleupon, digg, google reader, youtube, flickr, picasa, gmail & google talk, amazon, yelp and of course twitter as well as many others.
Just go to add/edit to get the lists and start feeding your content. The tools section also includes a facebook application that will send your friendfeed content directly to your facebook wall. This is where you will also find the “Post to Twitter” tool that sends your feed to twitter.
There is no limit to the number of variations you can do with this service. For instance, as mentioned above, you can send all your social media activity direct to twitter. Or you could use your account as a standalone system and add RSS feeds from google, your blog or any other blog. You can even send those feeds to your twitter and/or facebook profile.
The toolbar widget also lets you easily tweet from any page you are on – and add whatever links and comments to may want. One of the great things about Friendfeed is that you can add all sorts of link to the posting and comment area.
Just check out the Article Marketing Backlinks, Multiple Twitter Accounts, Twitter Sales No Follow, Automatic Blogging, Birdy Tweet Adder, Twitter Traffic Machine and Auto Tweet friendfeed profiles to see some variations. You’ll also want to start your account account and subscribe to these friendfeeds as a way of getting others to subscribe to your feed and to enhance the value of your account.
You’ll also want to note that this friendfeed “RSS to Twitter” system is a lot more versatile and profilic than either twitterfeed or feedburner. It is even a great way to free up some computing space from tweet adder’s and social oomph’s RSS to blog/twitter features.
Auto Tweeting With Googles Feedburner
Google Says Auto Tweeting Is OK.
Google owned feed burner allows you auto tweet your blog posts to your twitter account. This should come as no surprise to social media marketing watchers. Google bought feedburner a long time ago and gave bloggers and marketers a great way to earn added revenue with the inclusion of google ads in your blog rss feeds.
In fact, you can do so much more with a free feed burner account than syndicate your own posts and add adsense advertising revenue. But that is another story. The ability to auto-tweet with feedburner is a de facto authorization of the concept of auto tweet.
This also should come as no surprise. Autotweeting is good time saver and effective tool when done moderately and responsibly. It is what people want and need. After all, Google is about giving people what they want. People want to be connected to twitter so they do what they can to connect them to it.
It is also quite easy to send your feedburner feed to your twitter account. It is called the “FeedBurner Socialize“. As an advancement to the twitterfeed service, feed burner gives you the option to tweet the posts title, title & body or just the body. Posts larger than the 140 twitter character limitation are simply truncated.
You can even choose to leave room for retweeting and add hashtags automatically. Google also shortens urls with its own goo.gl url shortener. Tweets created with feedburner will now be perfectly optimized for broad twitter use and promotion!
And it is all FREE.
TwitterFeed Auto Tweet RSS Feeder
Before feedburner added the ability to auto tweet RSS feed to twitter, TwitterFeed was my favorite RSS feed tool.
With twitterfeed’s free account you set it up to automatcially tweet any RSS feed to twitter as separate posts. This gives you the ability to add automatica posts with credible outside resources to make your profile more valuable to user. Besides auto tweeting to twitter, TwitterFeed lets you auto post to facebook and a few other sites as well.
This make TwitterFeed more versatile than feedburner. However, feedburner has better auto tweet options like more tweet feautures as well as the ability to auto addd the all important hastags.
RSS to Blog – Make Blog Posts from RSS Feed & Send to Twitter
Tweeting just got a whole lot easier with the new RSS to Blog feature from social oomph and others.
Now it is easy to
- Make blog posts from any RSS feed
- Tweet those posts to Twitter
Step 1 - Make Blog Posts from any RSS Feed
All of this is done automatically with the professional paid version of social oomph.
“you can now grab one or more (in fact as many as you like) RSS feeds and automatically create blog post entries from the RSS feed entries.”
“it is now possible to populate your blog with hand-crafted scheduled blog posts, combined with posts that are created from external RSS feeds”
“One Blog Feed can feed as many blogs and social networking accounts as you want, and you can feed as many Blog Feeds into one blog and/or social networking account as you want.”
“You access it by:
- Adding your blog to your SocialOomph account.
- Adding a Blog Feed account, and selecting your blog (and other accounts) as the target for the Blog Feed.”
However, if you want a free way to automate your blog with content from RSS feeds, we suggest the word press Feed Word Press plugin. We currently use this plugin on a few of our websites to augment our regular posts.
Step 2 – Send Your Blog Posts To Twitter
Once you have a blog with your own RSS feed, you can then send that feed to your twitter profile with the free twitter feed service. Twitter feed is also a great way to populate your twitter profile with extra tweets from any RSS feed like google news and any other website with an RSS feed.
Another free word press plugin is the free twitter tools plugin. However, this plugin will only send manually written blog posts to twitter. It will not send the posts to twitter that were created in step 1 above. But you can use it for a number of other things like creating blog posts from twitter profile tweets on a per post basis on with daily of weekly recaps. You can also use it to tweet from your wordpress sidebar.
Using the above two simple steps you can now easily “Set up an auto blog and auto tweet system”.
Now, wasn’t that fun!
