Free Friendfeed Automatic Tweeting Machine
Automatic Tweeting Machine
Imagine a little known site that will take your posts and activity from 58 different social media sites and feed them to twitter. Friendfeed is such a site and it is free. It includes all the major social media websites and services like any blog, blogger, delicious, stumbleupon, digg, google reader, youtube, flickr, picasa, gmail & google talk, amazon, yelp and of course twitter as well as many others.
Just go to add/edit to get the lists and start feeding your content. The tools section also includes a facebook application that will send your friendfeed content directly to your facebook wall. This is where you will also find the “Post to Twitter” tool that sends your feed to twitter.
There is no limit to the number of variations you can do with this service. For instance, as mentioned above, you can send all your social media activity direct to twitter. Or you could use your account as a standalone system and add RSS feeds from google, your blog or any other blog. You can even send those feeds to your twitter and/or facebook profile.
The toolbar widget also lets you easily tweet from any page you are on – and add whatever links and comments to may want. One of the great things about Friendfeed is that you can add all sorts of link to the posting and comment area.
Just check out the Article Marketing Backlinks, Multiple Twitter Accounts, Twitter Sales No Follow, Automatic Blogging, Birdy Tweet Adder, Twitter Traffic Machine and Auto Tweet friendfeed profiles to see some variations. You’ll also want to start your account account and subscribe to these friendfeeds as a way of getting others to subscribe to your feed and to enhance the value of your account.
You’ll also want to note that this friendfeed “RSS to Twitter” system is a lot more versatile and profilic than either twitterfeed or feedburner. It is even a great way to free up some computing space from tweet adder’s and social oomph’s RSS to blog/twitter features.
YoTwits – Auto Tweet RSS Feeds and Retweets
Automate RSS Feeds To Twitter
You can use this free YoTwits tool in many creative ways. The most basic usaage of course is to add your own RSS feeds from your blog to your profile. You can set it up to check your feed every hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, 6 hours, 12 hours or daily. When it finds a new post, YoTwits will send it to your twitter account.
The fun and interesting part however, is the versatile ability to retweet from any other RSS feed yow desire. This opens up a whole new range of retweeting opportunities.
As I’ve noted at youtube, I think that “Here is an excellent way to automate your twitter profile from your blog. And at the same time, add interesting and valuable content from other blogs to your twitter account.”
As the yotwits site says “Boost your Twitter personality: broadcast your interests, add followers”. But, be sure to tweet and retweet responsibly.
Secret Twitter Weapon Number 3 – Hootsuite
Hootsuite and ping.fm are my duo secret weapon number 3.
I actually found pingfm first. As I was busy adding all my social network accounts to pingfm I saw their Hootsuite link. I was literally thrilled to found this combination. Not only did I marvel at the cabability of ping, I was positively awed by the possibilities of using them together.
First of all - with a single post in pingfm, the post will simultaneously be sent to major social networks like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, MySpace, Flickr, LinkedIn, Last.fm, Digg, Classmates.com, Friendster, hi5, Stumble Upon, OkCupid, Match.com, 43 Things, Bebo, Plaxo myYearbook, wayn.com, Yahoo Personals, Orkut, Tagged.com, Reunion.com, Plurk, Ning, Pogo.com, Shelfari, fubar, Adult Friend Finder, Plenty of Fish.com, Xanga, Plaxo Pulse, PalTalk, Friends Reunited, Multiply.com, tumblr.com, Ping.fm, Fitness Singles.com, Pix.ie, mycountryspace, BlackPlanet, mylife.com, ZooLoo, craftynation, Essembly, Chatterbox, schülervz, www.youjustgetme.com, beglobal, MiGente, who remembers me and small worlds.
If that was all there was to pingfm I would be thoroughly thrilled. But here is the second killer feature. You can send your post to pingfm from Hootsuite.
Why is that a big deal you ask? Hootsuite will list all of your twitter profiles and allow you to easily make a tweet simultaneously from one or all of profiles. You can also schedule those tweets for anytime. Plus, you get other screens that show retweets made from any of your profiles tweet – allowing you to retweets or direct message those other people from one or all of profiles.
Hootsuite also contains much more like an auto RSS feed from your blog (or dare we say it, all of your blogs or anyones blog or RSS feed)!
Using Hootsuite
Using Ping.fm
Once again, they are both 100% free. Mega way COOL!
Tweetbots – Auto Tweet Tool Kit
Tweetbots has 3 free tools all rolled into one account. In fact, you can easily add more bots that do different things for different purposes.
It seems a little confusing at first. Thank goodness for the simple home page that you can go back to and consult when you are actually trying to fill in the form to create a bot.
- Post to multiple twitter accounts with DM-Tweet bot
- Send multiple RSS feeds to your twitter profile
- Auto follow new followers
The multiple RSS feeds to one twitter account is similar to the previously reported ‘Direct RSS Feed To Twitter’ tool. But it allows you to send multiple feeds to one account. I’m using this to experiment with an Xbox games profile for a domain of mine which I let die. The last tweet from that domain was on June 29th. At that time there were about 80 tweets and 723 followers. So we’ll see how far it goes!
The DM-Tweet bot seems more confusing at first, but it simply lets anyone you allow, to tweet to your twitter profile. As the site suggest, this can be a great project collaboration tool.
The auto follow feature is not new either, but it’s nice to have it here just in case you want to set it up.
