Tweepler – Pro Tip for Sorting Twitter Followers
Sorting through your new followers is made easy with Tweeple.
After your followers information is processed by Tweepler you can view interesting information about each of your followers. This information includes “the last 3 tweets by that user, Average Tweets per Day, Total Tweets, How many people they are Following, How many Followers they have as well as the Following to Followers ratio”.
This information helps you to sort through your followers.
The attempt here is to help you follow back only real friends. These real friends are more valued than just auto followers who will probably never actually read something you’ve posted or follow through on them with some desirable action such as clicking and buying.
Initially, everyone is in the “Unprocessed Followers Bucket”. Once you have reviewed whatever criteria is important to you, you can put the followers into either your “Ignore Bucket” or your “Follow Bucket” lists.
To sort them, you just click the left arrow to follow them or click the right arrow to ignore them!
Twittley – A Twitter Social Network for Links
Twittley is a good place to submit your website, blog or twitter link. The PR3 of the home site is likely to increase as more people come more aware of this free twitter marketing site.
As Twittley states “Twittley is a social network for users to find and share links on Twitter”. And it’s true. To submit you link you just first need to sign up with your twitter user name and password. This simple step relieves you of any need to fill in some goofy registration form and then wait for a confirmation email which may never arrive.
Besides the ability to submit your own free link, the site make it simple to search for related topics of interest to your site. Once you have found what you like, just click on “retweet” for an instant retweet to your registered twitter profile.
The site links I’ve seen were mostly high quality, so I added my own.

Twittley also keeps track of your ‘Twittley Karma’ as well as the number of your submissions, comments and your Twitter Karma. The site fast, quick and totally search and twitter friendly.
It’s a fun twitter marketing site and it’s free.

ReTweet – Fun Viral Referrals and Auto Retweeting
Some people use retweeting as a way to seem more involved and knowledgeable. Others use retweets as a way to gain favor from the original twitter.
- This free reTweet.it site gives you 3 free retweets of your own message when you first sign up, for free.
- You can also earn another 1/2 added retweet of your message whenever you retweet someone else’s mesaage. If you are going to retweet to make yourself seem more involved, you might as well gain some small advantage from it in the form of retweets of your message.
- If you have lots of money for twitter marketing, you could even buy some rewteets. The prices seem a little steep to me, but you can get 50 retweets for $5 or 100 retweets for $10 and 300 retweets for $25.
- You can also earn another paltry 5 retweets when you refer someone else to the retweet site.
Earning those 1/2 reweet credits is real easy. The home page shows the messages and you just click on “reweet this” to reweet the message to your profile. There are many twitters signed up so there is a lot of opportunity to reweet and earn reweet credits.
It was kind of fun and weird.
YoTwits – Auto Tweet RSS Feeds and Retweets
Automate RSS Feeds To Twitter
You can use this free YoTwits tool in many creative ways. The most basic usaage of course is to add your own RSS feeds from your blog to your profile. You can set it up to check your feed every hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, 6 hours, 12 hours or daily. When it finds a new post, YoTwits will send it to your twitter account.
The fun and interesting part however, is the versatile ability to retweet from any other RSS feed yow desire. This opens up a whole new range of retweeting opportunities.
As I’ve noted at youtube, I think that “Here is an excellent way to automate your twitter profile from your blog. And at the same time, add interesting and valuable content from other blogs to your twitter account.”
As the yotwits site says “Boost your Twitter personality: broadcast your interests, add followers”. But, be sure to tweet and retweet responsibly.
Secret Twitter Weapon Number 3 – Hootsuite
Hootsuite and ping.fm are my duo secret weapon number 3.
I actually found pingfm first. As I was busy adding all my social network accounts to pingfm I saw their Hootsuite link. I was literally thrilled to found this combination. Not only did I marvel at the cabability of ping, I was positively awed by the possibilities of using them together.
First of all - with a single post in pingfm, the post will simultaneously be sent to major social networks like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, MySpace, Flickr, LinkedIn, Last.fm, Digg, Classmates.com, Friendster, hi5, Stumble Upon, OkCupid, Match.com, 43 Things, Bebo, Plaxo myYearbook, wayn.com, Yahoo Personals, Orkut, Tagged.com, Reunion.com, Plurk, Ning, Pogo.com, Shelfari, fubar, Adult Friend Finder, Plenty of Fish.com, Xanga, Plaxo Pulse, PalTalk, Friends Reunited, Multiply.com, tumblr.com, Ping.fm, Fitness Singles.com, Pix.ie, mycountryspace, BlackPlanet, mylife.com, ZooLoo, craftynation, Essembly, Chatterbox, schülervz, www.youjustgetme.com, beglobal, MiGente, who remembers me and small worlds.
If that was all there was to pingfm I would be thoroughly thrilled. But here is the second killer feature. You can send your post to pingfm from Hootsuite.
Why is that a big deal you ask? Hootsuite will list all of your twitter profiles and allow you to easily make a tweet simultaneously from one or all of profiles. You can also schedule those tweets for anytime. Plus, you get other screens that show retweets made from any of your profiles tweet – allowing you to retweets or direct message those other people from one or all of profiles.
Hootsuite also contains much more like an auto RSS feed from your blog (or dare we say it, all of your blogs or anyones blog or RSS feed)!
Using Hootsuite
Using Ping.fm
Once again, they are both 100% free. Mega way COOL!
Twitter Feed – RSS To Twitter
The whole purpose of Twitter Feed is to send an RSS feed to your twitter profile and even your facebook account. And its free.
You can actually send any RSS feed to your twitter account. This includes your blog RSS feed, an industry blog RSS feed, a google news feed and any other RSS feed that you can find.
Here’s a sample google newsfeed ” http://news.google.com/news?q=auto%20tweet&output=rss ” and a yahoo newsfeed ” http://news.search.yahoo.com/news/rss?p=auto+tweet&ei=UTF-8&fl=0&x=wrt ” just in case you’re new to this business.
To spice it up a little you can shorten these RSS feeds into ” http://bit.ly/1CmP2x ” for google and ” http://bit.ly/2GlBxh ” for yahoo news feeds. To add a general content link in your tweets you could simply just add them in and call them something like “auto tweet information”.
Why do you want to do this?
Well, if you are lazy you can let another site do the tweeting to your account. But, the best uses for sending an RSS feed to your twitter account is to provide valuable tweets to your followers. Value is in the eye of the beholder.
You certainly view your treasured blog posts as valuable don’t you!
You can also track your feeds too. The Twitter Feed site is very busy, so you should be patient or you might also want to check out other RSS To Twitter sites too.

How To Use Twitter Search
Don’t overlook Twitter Search as an easy twitter tool. You’ll always get current results and this simple but effective and powerful tweet tool is already built in. And of course it’s free.
First, log into your twitter profile. Then, just do a simple search like ‘tweet adder’. Twitter will do a very quick search and give you back a page full of ‘realtime results’ for your search term.
Look over the list of results and add whatever friends you want by clicking on the user name to visit their profile.
Click on ‘Reply‘ to retweet the tweet. It’s a good way to get noticed by the original tweeter who is more likely to retweet your own tweets.
The ‘View Tweet‘ link is kind of useless for your purpose, but you could use it to view the background of the tweeter.
You can also click on the ‘Tweet these results‘ link in the top right corner. You’ll be brought to your account with the suggested tweet “Searched Twitter for tweet adder: http://tinyurl.com/yzfgxc6″ already filled in. Modify it to whatever you want to say and click update to tweet it.
Another handy but overlooked link on the search results page is the ‘Feed for this query‘ link on the top right directly above the tweet these results link. You can use this link in any number of creative ways. For instance, use this link to make automated blog posts.
If you are really dedicated, use the ‘Show tweets written in‘ to get foreign language post for Arabic, Danish, Dutch, Farsi, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Icelandic, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish and even Thai.
To try and insert yourself into the main stream of public interest, by all means use the ‘Trending topics‘ list link and tweets. Don’t be surprised when one of topics search results page gives you a message like ‘346 more results since you started searching’ appears and suggests that you ‘click on the ‘Refresh‘ link to see them. If you don’t refresh the results it will keep refreshing the numbers indicator for you. Way cool!
